Created in the form of a 1901 law association, the AGORA COMPAGNIE is located in PARIS and directed by the international solo dancer and star choreographer
Cécile BERREBI from NOAILLES.

Born December 10, 1966 in PARIS 14th, Cécile BERREBI de NOAILLES discovers classical dance at the age of five. First a pupil of Irina Grjebina (Paris Opera), she was then trained by the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance then began contemporary dance at the Bagnolet conservatory at the age of 17.

After graduating from the CNSM, she continued her artistic training at RIDC with Françoise and Dominique Dupuy, then at the renowned School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam and finally at the Folkwangschule in Essen.

She is also a graduate of the University of Paris V and VIII, dance department. Numerous professional internships in Japan and India, notably with masters of traditional techniques (Noh, Kabuki, Taïko, Mohiniyatam, Bharathanatyam) have enriched her career as a contemporary dancer and choreographer.

Throughout her professional career, Cécile Berrebi de Noailles has met choreographers such as Carolyn Carson, Pina Bausch, Dominique Dupuy, Alexandre Yterce and Alain Germain on the international scene.

Choreographer-Researcher in Dance, Cécile Berrebi de Noailles worked in the "Research Residence Partnership" framework at the Montreuil Museum for 11 years and for cultural and educational projects in the City of Montreuil.

Since 1989 Cécile BERREBI de NOAILLES creates for the Company Agora. Between performances, shows or specific creations around exhibitions in museums, the choreographer and solo dancer of the company Agora now has around forty creations to her credit and several commissioned shows for museums.


COMPAGNIE AGORA is essentially dedicated to the contemporary creation of multidisciplinary shows (dance, theater, live and recorded music, videos) which throughout its career has given itself as a major artistic credo the taste for the transversality of artistic techniques and expressions. and the desire to be able to give moments of dance in all kinds of theatrical performance places (theaters, performance halls, museums, streets and gardens, factories, prison world, so-called closed environments - hospitals and IME)


COMPAGNIE AGORA has given choreographic performances in Europe, Japan and India. She worked for 11 years in a choreographer-associated residence at the Living History Museum in Montreuil, creating multidisciplinary performance shows (contemporary dance, texts and live music) based on exhibitions designed by the Museum as well as commissions from museums in Vernon, Marly le Roi, Savigny le temple ...


Dancers, musicians, actors invite the viewer to browse the exhibition in the form of ambulatory dance performances created by Cécile BERREBI de NOAILLES.


The shows are created according to each location, the theme of the exhibition and the works presented. Choreographer Cécile BERREBI de NOAILLES seeks through archives, works presented in exhibitions, texts, photographs, videos, music and dance, to offer spectators a different perspective.


Throughout the year, COMPAGNIE AGORA opens to all children, adults, professional artists or informed amateurs, contemporary dance lessons, classical, barre à terre, yoga as well as choreographic composition workshops in various districts of Paris. .
